  Food is ridiculously good. The local offerings are great (cheeses etc.). Good atmosphere (groups of 2-4) is probably ideal since it's a small space.
  
  Perfect beer selection and cocktails. Great for after work or dinner. Brunch is amazing. The dishes are so delicious and they have so many options. The first time I went I had dinner, came back the next day for brunch. one of the best local spots in the area. probably one of the best in south miami.

  Reserved a table for 8 for a birthday. Came in and was told there was no chicken and pancakes for brunch. Was a little surprised to hear considering it was brunch and they could of relayed this information on the phone when making a reservation about an hour or so prior.
  
  Fine, willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Has brunch absent the chicken and pancakes, but to our even further surprise, the groups seated directly after us all had chicken and pancakes on their tables. Asked the manager how could this be so? She gave a rude answer saying they went for more. They could of been proactive in relaying this information to us, but decided to tell us there would be nothing for the rest of the day. safe to say, they really cared about or patronage.

  The Local is located in the heart of Coral Gables and it specializes in American food specifically from Southern United States, but with Latin American inspiration. They also have limited edition beers and original cocktails. Their concept is based on Comfort Food made with the best ingredients which end up in hamburgers and other dishes where strong flavors predominate.
