  The restaurant ambiance was good, but the place was freezing.
  The service was very nice and courteous - probably the best feature for that place.
  As for the food - you'd think that a $60 entree would be to die for - right?! right?! apparently Morton does not. I heard good things about this place in the past but our experience was sub-par. except for the desert (chocolate cake) we ordered that was well made, none of the appetizers or entrees were made well. The salads were unimaginative and bland (we asked for no bacon and the dish came with). Out of 2 fish dishes - Halibut and Salmon, only the salmon was ok. The halibut itself was not well cooked and came with a burnt olive tapenade that was inedible. Both steaks we ordered medium came well-done and hard as a shoe-sole. we sent one back and got an under cooked steak (10 minutes later after we were done eating).
  I will say again that the service was great. we had one steak and dessert knocked-off our bill for all our trouble but we still paid over $70 per diner (we each ordered a simple cocktail or bear).
  Not sure what was going on in the kitchen that day but the gap between what we paid and what we got was insulting...
